This engaging 90-minute training is designed for professionals who are seeking social-emotional learning tools on the Kimochis® social-emotional program and want to learn how to personalize the tools for their professional site and needs. The Kimochis® characters and feelings lessons will be outlined to demonstrate how to help children learn to understand and regulate their feelings, understand the emotions of others, and establish and maintain healthy social relationships. 

In addition, you will learn about the Kimochis® Keys to Communication. These Keys help children to listen, speak and act in ways that promote positive behavior and social interactions. At the completion of this workshop, you will feel prepared to introduce the Kimochis® program in social skills groups, clinical settings and/or as a safe, strong, and mutually respectful prevention and intervention tool!


  • Describe why social-emotional learning is important for ALL children and not just for those with disabilities.
  • Explain the link between feelings, behavior and communication.
  • Identify the Kimochis® Keys to Communication and how children can use them to guide positive social interactions.
  • Identify immediate ways to use the Kimochis® tools in their programming.
